Parliament of the Future
The Parliament of the Future consists of a group of young Amsterdammers (18-25 years old) who together make a statement for a liveable future.
As of May 7th 2020, the Parliament of the Future met six times online, supported by inspiring guest speakers from the field and a digital voting tool. Five themes were discussed:
- the future of fundamental rights
- commons and new power relations
- a climate-fair society
- the future of education
- freedom in a digital world
The Parliament of the Future has translated these themes into visions for the future and concrete calls to action. With the aim of improving both their own daily lives in the city and those of future generations, they share their manifesto for the future with political representatives at the European and urban level.
